My mother was a survivor of significant trauma and immigrated from Salzburg, Austria to a very small town in Ohio, right after World War II. The worlds of magic, creativity, and nature were her escapes. Being born into this trauma, I found my own oasis in these worlds as well. Early on, I received great praise for my art. Simultaneously, tremendous pressure was put upon me to achieve in a very left brained fashion. My father, also a survivor of trauma, was a well respected cardiologist. To please my father, I went to medical school, rather than art school. I studied pre-med and attended a semester of medical school. This path was discontinued after the tragic loss of a best friend in a car accident we were in together, coming home from a Grateful Dead concert. This short earthbound friendship was my first experience with true unconditional love and innocence. This direct experience with death and transition, opened up a portal, an initiation that showed me how existential terror meets up against the purest of love. Soon after quitting medical school, I went back to school to become a physical therapist. Quickly, I was drawn into learning alternative types of treatment, including Craniosacral therapy and various types of energetic healing. In 2007-2011 I attended homeopathy school. For 20 years, I had a full practice in these modalities, while simultaneously returning to my art at age 29, with no formal training. Currently I am a full-time artist, and have two grown boys, who helped me to come back to my childlike ways of curiosity and innocence. They also kept alive in me, the primal wild animal essence within all of us. I still love entering the world of children. I have a long history of exhibiting and selling my work. More recently, I am moving into deeper realms of multisensory exploration through incorporation of music, sound, voice, spoken word, movement, videography, and light projection. I am delighted by how these elements bring forth more magic and multidimensionality.

Kia Ora and many blessings to whoever is reading this. A lover of all things nature I find my morning routine must include connecting in nature for me to feel grounded and complete. The systematic world seems to be getting more chaotic and as I flow with ease and grace into 60, I find more time for nature. I have adored life so far with all its kinks, challenges, backward steps, down rabbit holes, up in the clouds ….. and look back on a life of adventure, curiosity, service, playfulness, freedom, travel, connection, blood, sweat and tears. It all just is and I find nothing is right or wrong got me. It’s a free place to be. I have done much in my past from representing NZ in sport, working in corporate as a Human Resource consultant, running a business called Daring Adventure, setting up Health Retreats, Gift Economy Cafes, Earth Kids Schools, Community Gardens, Food Forests, Alternative Energy Projects and oh, the list goes on. Today I find myself living between the two hemispheres’, summer in Europe and UK and summer in New Zealand. I live for the sun my ultimate source of energy. Home is in my heart and I flow wherever I am needed. My husband and I have found a way to live in both hemispheres’. I have been offering Mindfulness walks and Wild Camping for a while now and have a few happening over summer here in NZ and then off to Portugal to walk the South Coast. Having done 1000km plus on the Camino this year I experienced how being so connected to the basics of finding food, shelter, water, connection daily is so good for people and can shift a lot of S! I also coach and seem to attract those that are in transition, want to change something in their lives.
